The Clifton to host charity game at The County Ground in aid of Mind

The Clifton pub in Swindon, recently voted Swindon Pub Of The Year, is organising an upcoming charity football match between its regulars at Swindon Town Football Club’s County Ground, in aid of Mind, the mental health charity.

The match on May 19th is just one of many events organised by The Clifton to raise funds for local charities and community initiatives. They have a long history of supporting good causes and their efforts have made a real difference in the lives of those around them.

The Clifton’s regulars are excited to take to the pitch and show off their skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere with one of the regulars saying “It’s a great opportunity for all to come together and support an important cause, while also having some fun and enjoying a day out with our friends and families.”

Organiser James Aghabi said “We have a lot of regulars that love a game of football and even a couple of ex-pros that drink here too.

“It’s been a fun build-up and everyone’s been happy to contribute to such a great cause. Every player has donated £50 to the charity through the Just Giving page We’ve had some sponsors come on board so that as much money can go to charity as possible These people deserve a special mention – APH Construction, AJ Luxe Sourcing, BE11A JS Foundation, and Wilson Fink.

“We’re all looking forward to the match, the banter that’ll come with it, and plenty of drinks afterward back at The Clifton.”

Overall, the charity football match organised by The Clifton promises to be a great day out for all involved.

The event is a testament to the positive impact that small businesses can have on their communities, and we look forward to seeing the results of their hard work.
