There is one last chance to see all the Swindogs and Swinpups from the The Big Dog Art Trail before they are auctioned off to raise funds for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
With over 23,000 participants, the collection of nearly 210,000 Swindogs and Swinpups, and a staggering 13,500 miles of walkies taken on the trail, The Big Dog Art Trail certainly had Swindon’s tails wagging this past summer.
This innovative art trail, featuring the world’s first-ever balloon dog sculptures, proved to be a resounding success. A total of 1083 individuals managed to collect all 72 sculptures, strategically placed throughout Swindon during the summer months.
Project Manager of The Big Dog Art Trail, Chris Hyde, expressed his astonishment at the overwhelming response from the public. He remarked, “The Swindogs and Swinpups have brought joy, excitement, and colour to Swindon over the summer for locals and tourists alike.
“Many visitors came to Swindon just to witness this enchanting trail. It has been a heartwarming experience to witness the reactions of families, children, and even pets, all delighting in the splendid designs and discovering both familiar and new places in our local area.”
As the final chapter of this whimsical adventure unfolds, there remains an opportunity to view all of the Swindogs and Swinpups together one last time, gathered under a single roof for their grand farewell.
