Swindon’s BG Automotive (BGA), an iconic name in the global automotive aftermarket, celebrated a monumental achievement last week as it was honoured with the King’s Award for International Trade. This prestigious recognition was formally presented during a ceremony held at BGA’s UK headquarters, marking a proud moment for the company.
The event was graced by HM King Charles’s representative, the Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs. Sarah Troughton, who personally awarded the commemorative scroll to BGA, in addition to congratulating the team on their tremendous accomplishments. The celebration opened with a guided tour of BGA’s offices, warehouse, and Research & Development centre, allowing attendees, including other distinguished guests, to witness the quality-driven ethos of BGA’s manufacturing processes. Live demonstrations underscored the company’s commitment to producing aftermarket parts that meet or even exceed OEM standards.
Reflecting on this prestigious accolade, Chris Cameron, BGA’s Managing Director, extended his gratitude: “This award is a testament to the dedication of our UK-based team and the trust of our export partners and customers in over 75 countries. Our journey here would not have been possible without the relentless hard work, resilience, and passion shown by everyone involved.”
Following the ceremony, BGA’s team of over 150 employees enjoyed a lively celebration, complete with wood-fired pizzas and smash patty burgers from local vendors. An unexpected turn in the weather brought sunshine, providing the perfect backdrop for a team photo under the newly unveiled BGA/King’s Award flag.
