Today is the first Saturday in May, Naked Gardening Day!
That is right, people all over the world will be getting their kit off and doing their gardens, in the nude.
Twelve Toothill residents are using World Naked Gardening Day and also Mental Health Awareness Week (8th – 11th May) to create a modest Naked Gardening Swindonian calendar.
In aid of Swindon SOBS Engaging Men Programme, a support group for men affected by suicide and men’s mental health all proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be put to great use supporting local men affected by suicide.
The twelve volunteers will be modestly baring all in the hope it will break the stigma attached to men’s mental health and promote the importance of mental health awareness.
The group will be staging various gardening poses in gardens and allotments over the coming week to have the calendar available later in the summer as an early Christmas present, perfect for the potting shed.
