Swindon & Wiltshire Pride is calling for passionate and dedicated individuals to join their expanding team of volunteers, following a year of notable achievements, including being a finalist at the prestigious British LGBT Awards and successfully moving to a new venue.
The charity is seeking individuals to fill key positions, including an Administrator, Communications Manager, Pride Hub Manager, Accessibility & Inclusion Manager, Event Coordinator, Social Media Content Creator, Trustees, and Deputy Community Engagement Manager.
Chairperson Paul Stewart highlighted the ongoing efforts of the charity, saying: “The hard work doesn’t stop when the gates close for Pride in August. We attend various events and fundraisers throughout the year, and our expansion is a direct result of the incredible volunteers we have and the ever-growing need for a visible LGBTQ+ community and a safe space.”
Press Manager Andy Midwinter, who has been with the committee since 2019, shared his personal experience: “Volunteering with Swindon & Wiltshire Pride has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The sense of community, the joy of making a difference, and the friendships I’ve formed are unparalleled.”
Andy continued, “If you’re looking for an opportunity to give back, grow personally, and be part of something truly special, joining our committee is the best decision you’ll ever make.”
