Swindon Town Welcome Young Defender Pharrell Johnson to the Squad

Swindon Town Football Club has this morning announced the latest addition to its squad, 19-year-old defender Pharrell Johnson, who joins from Nottingham Forest on a permanent contract, pending EFL approval.

Having started his footballing journey with Nottingham Forest Academy at a young age, Johnson climbed through the ranks, showcasing his talent in both the U18s and U21s teams. His dedication and skill were evident in the 17 appearances he made for the U18s in the highly competitive U18 Premier League, contributing to Forest’s fourth-place finish in their inaugural season as a Category One outfit.

During the current season, Johnson has been a valuable asset to Nottingham Forest’s U21s EFL Trophy campaign playing key roles in securing victories against tough opponents like Accrington and Carlisle.

Standing tall at 6ft 4 inches, Johnson’s prowess was not only demonstrated in domestic competitions but also the prestigious FA Youth Cup. He played a crucial part in Forest’s journey to the final, facing formidable opponents, including a showdown against Manchester United in 2022.
