Swindon Town is poised to mark a triumphant return to the world of music at the County Ground, breaking an 11-year silence since their last concert.
The club unveiled the plans on the official website yesterday as an opportunity for the club to source additional revenue. As part of this announcement, they have opened the floor to their fans to have their say.
A community survey is looking for fan feedback on key aspects of the event, including musical preferences and the preferred concert format. It’s an opportunity for the fans and the local community to have a say in shaping this musical experience.
While the concert is planned for 2024, a specific date is yet to be confirmed.
James Watts, Commercial Manager at Swindon Town Football Club, expressed the club’s enthusiasm for this venture. “We are bringing a concert back to The County Ground as it is a great way for the club to raise additional revenue and use the facility in a different way from only hosting football matches.”
“We are putting a lot of time and effort into getting this correct so having the most feedback possible from our fanbase and the people of Swindon and the surrounding areas is huge in moving this project forward.”
