Swindon Pickleball, in collaboration with Delta Tennis Centre, is delighted to announce the inaugural Swindon Pickleball Festival, set to take place on the 24th and 25th of August.
This new event aims to introduce more Swindonians to this rapidly growing sport, which is a unique blend of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.
Organiser Shaun Jones expressed his excitement about the festival, noting the increasing popularity of pickleball in Swindon. “The festival will showcase the sport and hopefully get people to pick up a paddle and play,” he said.
This event is designed to encourage people of all ages to engage in pickleball, highlighting its simplicity, health benefits, and the sheer enjoyment it brings.
The Swindon Pickleball Festival is open to players from 12 years old and up, with all players welcome whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or an advanced players.
Over the weekend, there will be a variety of activities, including the social pickleball sessions for all ability levels and dedicated courts for Under 18s on Saturday.
Attendees can also look forward to a range of food and treats available throughout the event.
