A highlight in the calendars of local music enthusiasts since 2007, The Swindon Shuffle, a popular music event in Swindon, will be back this September showcasing the best of Swindon’s original music scene.
The 2023 edition, will feature more than 60 local acts across five main venues in Old Town, including The Beehive, The Castle, The Hop, The Tuppenny, and The Victoria, as well as fringe events at other locations such as Baristocats and The Eternal Optimist.
The Shuffle will begin on Wednesday, September 13th, with an opening music quiz event at The Beehive before the music kicks off on Thursday.
Headline acts taking to the stage on Thursday evening will be Subject A at The Hop, and Canute’s Plastic Army at The Tuppenny just down the road.
This year’s lineup will once again feature the Friday evening curated by The Swindon Folk Club, which will take place at The Hop.
All Ears Avow headline at The Vic and Splat The Rat at The Castle will be headlining on Friday evening.
On Saturday, headlining sets will be performed by Richard Wileman and Amy Fry at The Tuppenny, Modern Evils at The Vic, Concrete Prairie at The Beehive, and Stay Lunar at The Castle.
The final day, Sunday, will feature headliners Fly Yeti Fly at Tuppenny, and Matt Owens and The Delusional Vanity Project at The Beehive.
Organiser Ed Dyer said: “We are really excited to have such an incredible line-up
of local talent playing this years event. We have loads more to announce and plans
for this year’s festival to be the biggest and best yet. It is a privilege each year to be
able to put this event on and to raise much needed funds for Prospect Hospice”
