Abbey Park School was filled with festive cheer as six Swindon schools came together for their second annual Christmas Showcase.
Held on 4th December 2024 at the Abbey Park School hall, the evening featured over 100 students delivering an impressive array of musical, dramatic, and dance performances.

The event brought the students and parents together to celebrate the festive season, with choirs, soloists, and music students performing a variety of pieces on a range of instruments and with school dance groups and a drama ensemble added a touch of theatrical flair.
The grand finale brought the audience to its feet as students were joined by staff for a heartwarming rendition of Wonderful Christmas Time. The collaboration highlighted the strong sense of community within the schools.
Amy Fry, Head of Music at Lydiard Park Academy, spoke of the event’s success: “What an amazing showcase of wonderful and inspirational talent. I’m very proud of everyone’s performances. It takes months of planning and rehearsals to put a big show like this together, but all that commitment shone through on stage.”
Gemma Piper, CEO of The Park Academies Trust, also praised the students: “One of the values we encourage at our schools is courage, and it was wonderful to see our students full of confidence on stage in front of a packed hall. To perform in front of a big audience takes lots of hard work and dedication, and I’d like to applaud everyone who took part.”
This event not only celebrated the festive season but also inspired younger students with the power of creative expression. It is clear the Christmas Showcase is fast becoming a cherished tradition in The Park Academies Trust’s school calendar.
