Swindon residents are being urged to keep their waste and recycling out for council workers to collect despite many complaints on social media of the waste being blown all over the towns streets.
Commenting on the Swindno Community Noticeboard on Facebook, Mark Compton this morning asked: “Why ask us to put our bins out on a certain day if you are not going to collect them? Why have Christmas arrangements if you won’t follow them?”
His post has seen a number of responses from residents all over town saying their waste had been collected this week with others also wondering why theirs hadn’t been collected.
Taking to social media, Swindon Borough Council has said: for households with collections scheduled on Christmas or Boxing Dayplease continue to leave any waste and recycling out. The crews will be round to collect as soon as they can.
