Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision on the Great Western Way, Swindon this morning (Wednesday 5 April 2017) between two lorries.
The incident happened just after 4am on the carriageway in to Swindon, between the Blagrove and Mannington roundabouts.
For unknown reasons at this stage it’s believed an Iceland lorry (vehicle one) was stationary on the carriageway when the other truck (vehicle two) collided with it.
The male driver of vehicle two was taken to Southmead Hospital with life threatening head injuries and is currently in a stable condition, the male driver of the first vehicle sustained minor injuries.
PC Andy Lee said: “We are still investigating what happened, however I would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen this collision or anything suspicious, in connection with this, at this time this morning.
