The Trident Fish Bar – 7 Victoria Road – ‘Nailed it again’
Reviewer beerfoodbeer wrote: “This is one of my favourite take aways. Tonight I had Haddock and chips. Chips were cooked just right and plenty off them. The Haddock was a good size chunky moist and covered in a crispy crunchy batter. 100% recommend this place.” beerfoodbeer
Phillips – 39 Cricklade Road – ‘Best fish and chips in Swindon‘
FionaM1961 heaps heavy praise: “We have been trying different fish and chip shops in Swindon every couple of weeks throughout lockdown and this one is outstanding! We are not going to bother trying anywhere else, we’ve found the best! Fabulous tasty fish in a great crispy batter and proper chips, finished off with mushy peas, can’t go wrong!”
County Fayre – 46 York Road – ‘Number 1 in Swindon’
Sarb54 prefers to drive to York Road than use his local: “Always been excellent. Got a chippy 2 mins walk away but always drive the 10 mins to this one. Cant rate it enough. Lovely people.”
Noffs Fish & Chips – 152 Grange Drive – ‘Great local chippy’
Highly recommended by Lostpassport: “Been here many times over the years but I’d say over the past 12 months its turned into a real gem. Smart, clean chippy but chips are great, crispy never soggy. Food good, prices good, service decent, highly recommend.”
Bobby’s Fish & Chips – 106 Cheney Manor Road – ‘Always great food’

Cowudders14 gives a five star rating: “This is my ‘go to’ chippy. Always great food, always fresh and tasty, and always service with a smile. Well recommended.”
