Swindon Pickleball Festival Returns for a Weekend of Exciting Action

The second Swindon Pickleball Festival is set to take place this weekend at Delta Tennis Centre in West Swindon, bringing together players from across the UK for a thrilling weekend of pickleball action.

With 16 courts in play, the event will showcase one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.

Pickleball, a dynamic sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, is played on a smaller court with paddles and a perforated plastic ball. It has surged in popularity due to its accessibility, making it an ideal sport for all ages and skill levels.

As part of the festival, organisers plan to set up a beginners’ court outside, weather permitting, where those new to the sport can give it a try and experience first-hand why it has captivated so many players worldwide.

This year’s Swindon Pickleball Festival is proudly sponsored by:

  • Swindon Travel Hub, organisers of the upcoming Pickleball Cruise later this year and the Jamaica Pickleball Festival in 2026.
  • Quicksand, a specialist sports equipment provider focusing on Pickleball, Padel, and Beach Tennis.

Shaun Jones, organiser of the Swindon Pickleball Festival, expressed his excitement about this year’s event: “It’s fantastic to see so many players coming from all over the country to take part in this year’s festival.

“The growth of pickleball in the UK has been incredible, and Swindon is quickly becoming a hub for the sport. Watch this space – we’ve got even more exciting pickleball plans coming soon!”

In addition to the action on the courts, Sunday’s festival programme will feature local vendors Gurt Wings and Hop Kettle Brewery, offering players and spectators a delicious taste of Swindon’s thriving food and drink scene.
