Two fire engines from Swindon fire station were called to reports of a fire at a pavilion near Leigh Road in Penhill at around 7.45pm yesterday.
On arrival the fire service found a small fire inside the pavilion which was extinguished using one hose reel jet and a thermal image camera.
Wiltshire Police were also called to the scene as the fire was started deliberately.
If anyone has any information on how this fire started they are requested to call 101.
Just a couple of hours later one of the fire engines from Swindon station accompanied another from Stratton St Margaret to a shed fire on Meadowcroft, Stratton St Margaret. Crews had to wear breathing apparatus whilst extinguish the fire but unfortunately the shed was totally destroyed. It is not yet know how this fire started.
