Commuters have been hit with delays and cancellations at Swindon Train Station today affecting the line between Swindon and Didcot.
At around 3pm this afternoon Great Western railway tweeted to advise travellers the route was blocked and disruption will take place until around 5pm.
Due to a signal fault between Swindon and Didcot Parkway all lines are blocked, disruption expected until 1700 – Updates to follow

This has now been followed up with an announcement that the disruption is expected to continue through the rest of the day.

Tickets for travel today will now be accepted for travel tomorrow for those affected.
Passengers are being advised to use the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner to check your journey before you travel.
Travellers hoping to make their way on a Stagecoach bus that would go via Oxford are also being advised to check with Stagecoach due to a fire at Oxford Bus Station.
