It wasn’t that long ago that ASDA were sending out press releases announcing a national cap on their fuel prices at 112.7p per litre for unleaded and 115.7p for diesel. What happened? Where are the press releases to announce the price slowly creeping back up to the all time high of the year?
OK they may still be the cheapest in town but with prices continuing to rise it pays to keep an eye on the prices.
Taking into account the average prices across the UK drivers in Swindon are still paying less, if you use the right petrol station that is!

Unleaded 118.9p Diesel 120.6p
Swindon Prices
Unleaded can be bought throughout the town at anywhere between 115.7p and 124.9p. Diesel is also from 117.7 right up to 127.9p.

BP service stations continue to be the most expensive throughout Swindon and currently charge 124.9p for Unleaded at Swindon Road, Wootton Bassett and just 1p less at Blagrove and 125.9p for Diesel at both locations. Although the highest price currently being charged for Diesel is the old Murco station, now an Esso, in Wootton Bassett charging 127.9p.
Why do people still use them when they are so close to the cheapest option?
