Emergency Services dealing with a collision on Great Western Way between Blagrove Roundabout and Mannington Roundabout have opened the Southbound carriageway (towards the M4) leaving the road closed in the direction towards the Town Centre.
The accident happened at around 5:45 this morning which resulted in both carriageways of the road being closed whilst emergency services dealt with the situation.
Although one carriageway is back open motorists are advised to take seek an alternative route whilst the backlog of traffic clears.
It is not yet known when the second carriageway will be open.
