Swindon has long been a town brimming with hidden talent – and now a newly launched Community Interest Company in North Swindon is working hard to help that talent shine.
Inspire Enrichment, launched in January this year, is offering young people aged 5 to 25 the chance to unlock their creativity through a wide range of enrichment sessions. With a strong belief that art, expression, and personal growth should be open to everyone – not just the few – the team is passionate about removing barriers and making a real difference.
From weekday workshops in photography, dance and textiles to more hands-on digital favourites like Minecraft and media make-up, every session is shaped by experienced practitioners whose aim is to do more than just entertain. They want to inspire confidence, promote collaboration, and encourage self-expression in an environment where every young person is seen, heard, and valued.
But this isn’t just about after-school activities – Inspire Enrichment is taking a bold and proactive step towards inclusion. Their sessions are not only fun and creative, they’re accessible, with tailored approaches that support young people with additional needs and a genuine focus on wellbeing and development. Each participant is treated as an individual, with age, skill level, and learning needs carefully considered so that every session provides real, lasting value.
Now working in partnership with schools and community organisations across Swindon and Wiltshire, Inspire Enrichment has already made a big impact in just a few short months.
At Churchward Secondary School, they supported the school’s cabaret event by providing a professional stage – generously donated by Millbrook Primary School – along with sound equipment and a skilled technician to give the show a polished finish. Over at Noremarsh Junior School, they ran drama and dance days as part of the school’s Sports Week, even taking part in their Open Day to celebrate pupils’ progress. And in a lovely intergenerational twist, Inspire Enrichment is also now working with a care home in Swindon’s Old Town, delivering creative skill-based sessions for residents – because art and expression shouldn’t be confined by age.
Looking ahead, the group’s involvement in Swindon’s thriving festival scene is already well under way. Following their debut at the Old Town Arts Festival, Inspire Enrichment will now join the Embrace All Festival at Kingsdown School on 25th July, and Signal Festival from 25th July to 2nd August, offering hands-on workshops in drama, textiles, world-building, and more.
This summer, they’ll also be running their Summer of Inspiration programme, a varied and exciting collection of workshops including aerial circus skills, photography, STEM sessions, dance, comics and illustration, creative writing, Minecraft, and media make-up.
At its core, Inspire Enrichment is more than just a programme. It’s a movement to create access to creativity, confidence, and culture – regardless of background, ability, or circumstance.
