Swindon Man Given 12 Month Community Order After Threatening People with a Baseball Bat

Alan Hunt, 59, of Highworth Road, South Marston, has been sentenced to a 12-month Community Order following threatening behaviour.

Hunt pleaded guilty to affray and was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court yesterday

Hunt was sentenced to a Protection from Harassment Order, given a 3-year restraining order, 12 mental health treatment requirement sessions, and up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.

It follows an incident on April 22nd, 2023, when Hunt swore and held a baseball bat outside a house in South Marston threatening the occupants.

Local Crime Investigator Martin Pearce said: “This incident was understandably a really frightening experience for those involved. There is never a good reason to behave in this way and I hope people living in Wiltshire feel they can contact police when they need help.”
