Swindon’s most anticipated event of the autumn season is just around the corner as the Swindon Lions Club prepares to host its annual Fireworks Display.
Taking place on Saturday 2nd November 2024 at the Polo Ground on Marlborough Road, this promises to be an evening full of excitement, entertainment, and community spirit.
For those looking for more than just a dazzling firework display, there’s plenty on offer. BBC Radio Wiltshire’s very own James Threlfall will be hosting, while Edwards Funfair is set to deliver thrills for all ages. A variety of refreshment stalls will ensure that no one goes hungry, offering plenty of food options for everyone to enjoy.
Importantly, the Swindon Lions Fireworks Display is all about giving back to the community. The net proceeds from the event will be used to support charitable causes throughout Swindon and beyond.
In the last 12 months alone, the Lions have raised substantial amounts for local groups, community projects, and even disaster relief efforts overseas. Local organisations such as Swindon Food Collective and Julia’s House Hospice have benefited from the Lions’ generosity, and the funds raised this year will help continue that essential support.

Swindon Lions Club has requested that no sparklers, alcohol, or animals be brought onto the grounds for safety reasons. Sparklers and pets, combined with large crowds, can often pose hazards, so it’s essential that these rules are respected.
