Swindon’s first-ever Pickleball Festival, organised in partnership with Delta Tennis Centre and Swindon Pickleball, was a smashing success, drawing nearly 90 players from all over the country.
The event was a major milestone for Swindon’s growing pickleball community, attracting enthusiasts from across the UK for two days of action-packed matches.
Players were treated to a fast-paced weekend of games, with many praising the festival’s vibrant atmosphere and smooth organisation. One regular festival-goer commented, “I’ve never played so much pickleball in one day—I loved it!” Others echoed this enthusiasm, calling it the best pickleball festival they had ever attended.
Despite a few pre-registered players not making it on Saturday, the event’s organiser was delighted with the overall turnout. “It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, and Sunday was even better with double the number of players competing on nine pickleball courts,” they shared.
Building on this momentum, Swindon Pickleball is excited to announce that they will be continuing their social pickleball sessions for all levels on Mondays from 7-9 pm, with new sessions starting soon on Wednesdays from 7-9 pm as well.
These sessions will also be held at the Delta Tennis Centre, providing more opportunities for both beginners and experienced players to enjoy the game.
With the success of the festival, Swindon Pickleball looks forward to collaborating with Delta Tennis Centre on future events, further growing the sport and welcoming even more players into the community.
