Swindon Pickleball are once again set to serve up an action-packed weekend as the town welcomes its third Pickleball Festival.
Nearly 200 players representing close to 50 clubs from across the UK will descend on West Swindon to showcase the sport’s unique blend of fun, fitness and community spirit.
The festival takes place at Delta Tennis Centre on Saturday (11am–7pm) and Sunday (9am–5pm), offering locals the chance to see the action first-hand and learn more about the fastest-growing sport in the country. On Saturday, visitors will also be able to tuck into food from the amazing BBQ Street Box, adding extra flavour to the festival atmosphere.
This marks the third successful instalment of the festival, following on from hugely popular events held in March this year and last October. Both were hailed as a triumph, thanks in no small part to the tireless work of Swindon Pickleball’s dedicated volunteers and the backing of the wider pickleball community.
Mike, one of the volunteers helping to stage the festival, said:
“The atmosphere at these events is always brilliant. We’ve got players of all levels coming together to celebrate the game, and it’s fantastic to see Swindon becoming such a hub for pickleball.”
Andy, also part of the organising team, added: “The response has been overwhelming. To have nearly 200 players travelling from every corner of the UK shows just how much this sport is growing. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Delta this weekend.”
For those curious to find out more about pickleball—or perhaps tempted to give it a go—the festival provides the perfect introduction. Spectators are welcome throughout the weekend, and Swindon Pickleball also run regular sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 7–9pm at Delta Tennis Centre.
