A Swindon family-run electrical company has moved into new premises at Cheney Manor as it looks to build on more than two decades in business.
The Electrical Compliance Collective (TECC), run by husband and wife Peter and Maria McCallum, has relocated from Dorcan Business Village to Enterprise House, Cheney Manor, with the new premises officially opened on 16 September.
The opening was attended by the Mayor of Swindon, who was given a tour of the new facilities, along with around 35 local business owners.
The new base includes a warehouse, a dedicated training bay for electrical apprentices, a training room and a showroom showcasing a range of electrical and renewable energy products.
Among the equipment on display are electric vehicle chargers, solar panels, battery storage systems, consumer units and heated towel rails.
The company says the dedicated training facilities are an important part of the new premises, providing apprentices with space to develop their practical skills alongside their wider training.
TECC is a local family business which has been established in Swindon for more than 20 years, providing electrical services to customers and businesses across the area.
The move to Cheney Manor marks the latest stage in the company’s development, while the new showroom also gives customers and other businesses the opportunity to see some of the technology and products available before making decisions about installations.
Maria McCallum, who runs the company with her husband Peter, said the official opening provided an opportunity to show local businesses what they had created at their new home.
The event brought together around 35 fellow business owners, alongside the Mayor of Swindon, for a tour of the warehouse, training facilities and showroom.
TECC’s new premises bring its operational, training and product display facilities together under one roof, with the company continuing its focus on electrical work while also showcasing technologies including solar power, battery storage and EV charging.
The company is now operating from Enterprise House in Cheney Manor as it continues its next chapter as a long-established Swindon family business.
