As the Easter holidays approach, Swindon Cycle Campaign gears up to empower the next generation of cyclists with free learn-to-ride sessions for children under 12.
Taking place on April 9th and 10th at the County Ground Athletics Track, these sessions offer youngsters the opportunity to develop their cycling skills in a safe and supportive environment. Booking in advance is essential to secure a spot for your child.
Swindon Cycle Campaign, a volunteer-led organisation, is dedicated to promoting cycling and improving infrastructure for cyclists in the local area. They organise free events to encourage more people to embrace cycling. From learn-to-ride sessions to bike repairs and information about cycle routes, the campaign strives to make cycling accessible to all.
“We’re committed to not only promoting cycling but also to making it more inclusive,” stated a spokesperson for Swindon Cycle Campaign. “Our aim is to create a cycling-friendly environment for everyone in Swindon.”
In addition to offering free cycling sessions, the campaign provides bike checks, repairs, and bike security marking, ensuring that cyclists can enjoy a safe and hassle-free riding experience.
