Swindonians have woken up to even more snow this morning as the ‘mini Beast from the East’ continues to sweep across the country causing disruption everywhere it can.
Saturday evening saw a some light flurries which continued through the night and on into Sunday morning, with temperatures dipping to around -2C although the ‘feels like temperature’ has dropped to around -8C.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the roads where possible and take extra care while out and about with Drove Road reported to be impassable this morning with a number of vehicles stuck towards the Christ Church area.
Forecasters say we are likely to see wintry showers continue throughout the day until mid-afternoon, with winds bringing even more bitterly cold temperatures.
