Police sprang into action yesterday afternoon after receiving a report of a stolen Volvo Estate from a business in The Broadway, Whitworth Road.
Within a remarkably short span of time, believed to be around 30 minutes, police enquiries led officers to locate the vehicle and promptly arrest a suspect, a man in his 50s.
The individual was initially arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle but was later found to be driving without insurance and while disqualified. Additionally, he failed a breath test, resulting in further arrests.
