Starlight Walk Returns as Prospect Hospice Marks 45 Years of Care

Prospect Hospice’s much-loved Starlight Walk is back for 2025, inviting the local community to take to the streets of Swindon under the night sky on Saturday 28th June. This year’s event is particularly special, celebrating 45 years of Prospect Hospice providing care and support to those with life-limiting illnesses.

Starting and finishing at The Deanery Academy, participants can choose between a 10k or 15k route, both offering a chance to reflect, remember, and raise much-needed funds for hospice care. A dedicated remembrance area in the Town Gardens will provide a peaceful moment for walkers to honour loved ones.

For many, the event holds deep personal meaning. Kelly Pulham, who is taking part in memory of her friend Sandra, shared: “My friend received such amazing care from all the staff at Prospect Hospice. Although she wasn’t in their care for very long, the hospice supported all her family and friends. I am doing the Starlight Walk in memory of my beautiful friend Sandra. I hope to raise as much money as I can to help others who need this support.”

Jeremy Lune, CEO of Prospect Hospice, expressed his gratitude to all involved: “This year’s Starlight Walk is especially meaningful as we mark 45 years of Prospect Hospice. It’s an event that brings people together to celebrate and remember, while also ensuring we can continue providing essential services. We are incredibly thankful to everyone taking part.”

The Starlight Walk isn’t just about fundraising; it’s a powerful show of community spirit, with hundreds coming together to support the hospice. Whether walking in memory of a loved one or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, everyone is welcome to join.

For those eager to take part, early bird entry is available at £15 per person until Monday 31 March. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable evening of remembrance, community, and support.
