Several other nations will also see price increases, including Australia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the USA.

“The market landscape has continued to evolve since we launched. So that we can keep innovating, we are changing our Premium prices across a number of markets around the world. These updates will help us continue to deliver value to fans and artists on our platform,” the company explained in a press release today.

Presently, Spotify boasts over 200 million Premium subscribers, and there are reports of the company planning to introduce a more expensive “Supremium” plan in the USA later this year.

Existing subscribers of Spotify’s Premium plan will receive email notifications and a one-month grace period before the new pricing takes effect – unless they opt to cancel within the grace period.
