Residents and businesses in the Marlowe Avenue and Greenbridge Road area are invited to play a pivotal role in shaping the future development of their local surroundings.
To facilitate this important community engagement, Swindon Borough Council are hosting a drop-in event at the Swindon Rugby Football Club on Greenbridge Road next Thursday (16th November) from 3 pm to 7 pm.
This event provides a unique opportunity for local residents to share their insights and feedback on the initial draft masterplan for the area.
The overarching goal of the masterplan is to ensure that any new development is meticulously planned, enhancing the local area while aligning with key principles that promise numerous advantages for the community.
The proposed masterplan encompasses the WH Smith distribution centre, Greenbridge Road industrial estate, Greenbridge Road itself, and the surrounding land, including the Swindon Rugby Club.
Councillor Janine Howarth, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for local people to be involved in the shaping and development of this project.
“We would really value any feedback and ideas from people who live and work in the Marlowe Avenue and Greenbridge Road area so they can contribute to how their local neighbourhood develops over the years to come.
“If you can’t make the drop-in event next week, don’t worry as there is still plenty of time to feed in your views. Please visit the website to find out more about how the masterplan is taking shape.”
Residents and businesses eager to contribute their thoughts and ideas can attend the event. Alternatively, you can take a look at the emerging proposals and submit your views online before 4th December, ensuring your voice is heard in shaping the future landscape of Marlowe Avenue and Greenbridge Road.
