Section 35 dispersal order enacted in Swindon town centre

Wiltshire Police have implemented a Section 35 dispersal order in Swindon town centre following significant antisocial behaviour on the evening of 18 February.

The order is in place from midday today (19/02) until midnight, giving officers full dispersal powers to require anyone suspected of engaging in antisocial behaviour or disorder to leave the specified area.

Police say they received multiple reports from members of the public about a group of youths in the town centre. The group is believed to have been aggressive towards staff at McDonald’s, as well as towards members of the public and another shop owner.
