Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Celebrates GCSE Triumph

Royal Wootton Bassett Academy (RWBA) is celebrating an exceptional day as students and staff come together to mark the end of a demanding two-year journey with the release of this year’s GCSE results. After facing numerous challenges, the school’s students have emerged with a set of results that reflect their perseverance and the unwavering support of their teachers.

Among the standout students were Aidan Grainger, Jack Broome, and Eloise Foster, all of whom were thrilled to receive top grades of 9. Each expressed pride in their achievements and gratitude for the guidance provided by their teachers. Serena, who joined the academy in Year 9 after relocating from Hong Kong, echoed these sentiments, stating, “I love the school so much and I am really happy with my results.”

Anita Ellis, Headteacher at RWBA, praised the efforts of the students and acknowledged the dedication that has led to their success. “We are extremely proud of the students’ hard work and dedication, and it’s wonderful to see so many achieving the results they truly deserve. This time of year is always challenging for students, parents, and staff, so it’s superb to witness so many happy faces as they open their results sheets.”

Looking ahead, Ms Ellis wished all students the best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. Whether pursuing apprenticeships, continuing their education in Sixth Form or College, or starting their first job, the academy is proud to have played a part in their journey. She also expressed excitement at the prospect of welcoming many students back to the school’s Sixth Form in September.

The day marked a significant milestone for the academy, celebrating the achievements of its students while looking forward to the future with optimism and confidence.
