Police have closed a number of roads around Maxwell Street, Kingshill, Swindon following the discovery of items suspected to be World War Two era ordnance.
Maxwell Street, Faringdon Road, Lorne Street and Tennyson Street have all been closed while they investigate.
A cordon of around 100m is currently in place.
Drivers jnb and pedestrians are urged to avoid the area.
