National housebuilder Redrow is launching an eco-friendly Christmas tree competition for local South West residents to celebrate the festive season.
Residents across the region are being challenged to get creative and showcase their eco-friendly, eye-catching Christmas trees on social media, using the hashtag #RedrowChristmasCompetition. The winner will be awarded a £100 John Lewis gift card after the judging which will take place on 20 December.
Christmas is often associated with unnecessary waste and irresponsible spending. Millions of Christmas trees are disposed of every January, we use unrecyclable gift wrapping and last season’s décor is frequently swapped out for something new and more sparkly.
Redrow is encouraging people to seek out more sustainable solutions to Christmas tree decorations. Not sure how? Read Redrow’s latest blog article on eco-friendly Christmas tree tips here:https://www.redrow.co.uk/inspiration/articles/5-tips-for-an-eco-friendly-christmas-tree
Sales Director for the South West, Sian Smith said: “We believe in a better way to live at Redrow, and making things more sustainable is key to that. Christmas can be fun, sustainable and look great and we’d love all ages and abilities to get involved in this creative competition.”
The competition grants homeowners the opportunity to share their creative skills and designs with the local community and friends and family online. Redrow will be showcasing creative ideas across its social platforms and encouraging residents across all developments in the region to share images of their beautiful Christmas trees.
Sian added: “We cannot wait to see all the festive and sustainable ideas that people will showcase online to make sure that their trees are safe for the environment. This is an opportunity to care for the planet, save money, win a prize and still have the most beautiful Christmas tree on the street.”
