The sun smiled down upon Coate Water Country Park on Sunday 3rd March as Prospect Hospice’s Spring Run unfolded, painting a picture-perfect scene for the 200 eager participants who gathered to support this vital cause.
Against the backdrop of lush greenery, runners of all ages and abilities laced up their shoes, ready to tackle either a 5km or 10km challenge in aid of Prospect Hospice.

Amidst the buzz of excitement and camaraderie, Sharon Greasley, one of the event’s enthusiastic participants, shared her sentiments, remarking, “Taking part in Prospect Hospice’s Spring Run was an absolute delight. The atmosphere was electric, and the glorious weather added an extra sparkle to the occasion. Crossing the finish line felt incredibly rewarding, knowing that our efforts were making a real difference to those in need.”
Thanks to the unwavering support of the Swindon community and the dedication of each runner, Prospect Hospice is thrilled to announce that over £18,000 has been raised thus far. This impressive sum will directly contribute to the charity’s mission of providing comfort, care, and compassion to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses within our community.

Jeremy Lune, CEO at Prospect Hospice, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming turnout and generosity witnessed at this year’s event. “We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support for the Spring Run,” he remarked. “It was heartwarming to see our community come together, especially under the glorious sunshine. The funds raised will enable us to continue delivering vital services to those who need it most.”
Prospect Hospice extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to the success of the Spring Run.
