Police Make Arrest in Connection with Sex Offender Sharing Photos of Young Girls Online

Police have confirmed they have arrested a man in his 50’s for engaging in inappropriate online behavior.

The arrest is understood to be in connection with the posting photographs of unsuspecting young girls taken at Swindon Designer Outlet on an Instagram account.

This distressing discovery was brought to the attention of the police earlier this week, prompting swift action to safeguard the community.

Although it is not confirmed that it is the same individual, the Instagram account in question has a user name of Prabhat Sakya. This is the same name as a known Swindon sex offender who had been convicted of sexual assault against two women at Swindon Magistrates’ Court in October 2021. Consequently, he received a sentence of 52 weeks’ imprisonment, with a 24-month suspension.

Upon further examination of the Instagram account, which boasted a staggering 4,000 posts, creepy images of young women and children going about their daily lives were found.

Alarming captions such as “Hmmm,” “I Love You,” and “Beautiful girl” accompanied these photos, raising significant concerns about the individual’s intentions and the potential exploitation of innocent lives.

A spokesperson for the Wiltshire Police commented, “A man in his 50s was arrested in Bude Road, Swindon yesterday morning (29/06).

“He is under investigation for sending communication/article of an indecent/offensive nature and operating equipment beneath clothing of another without consent and has been released on bail.”
