Police carried out two drugs warrants in the Moredon area yesterday morning, 9th October.
Following on from two warrants in the town Thursday which led to the arrest of a 17-year-old for class A drug offences, two further warrants were conducted in the Moredon area this morning.
During today’s warrants, suspected class A and B drugs were seized, along with mobile phones.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. She’s currently in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
A 25-year-old man was also given a cannabis warning.
PC Vinnicombe said: “Again, these warrants were conducted as a result of police enquiries and community intelligence which helps us tackle drug activity in our community.
“It’s really important that the public continue to report their concerns or suspicions to us as drugs and the violence and anti social behaviour which is often associated with it can really blight a neighbourhood.”
Call 101 to report concerns or 999 in an emergency.
