Swindon’s Old Town Laundry Bar has officially washed away the competition to be named Best Bar in Wiltshire in the 2025 Muddy Stilettos Awards.
From the moment voting opened, the quirky cocktail bar – hidden in plain sight in Swindon’s Old Town – was among the frontrunners. Now, with the final votes tallied, it’s confirmed: The Laundry Bar has scrubbed up and snagged the top spot.

The win caps off a stellar two years for the independent bar, known for its playful laundry-themed décor, offbeat drinks menu, and unapologetically fun atmosphere. It beat out strong contenders including The Vault, The Cellar by Wine Monkey, Still Sisters, and Kettlesmith’s – showcasing that Swindon’s indie bar scene is very much on the map.
With the 12th annual Muddy Awards drawing more than half a million votes nationwide, the accolade is a meaningful nod from local punters – no judging panel, no fees, just genuine love from the community.
