Nexus Business Centre has announced Ipsum as its Charity of the Year for 2026, committing a full year of fundraising and community activity in support of the Swindon-based mental health and wellbeing charity.
The partnership will bring together the Nexus team, caféNexus customers and more than 50 businesses based at the centre, all working towards raising funds and awareness through a wide programme of events across the year.
Planned activities include raffles, bake-offs, car boot sales, car washing days and a range of community-focused initiatives designed to encourage participation while supporting Ipsum’s work across the borough.
The year-long collaboration will begin in February 2026 with the launch of the Ipsum Art Display at Nexus Business Centre, marking one of the centre’s most visible charity projects to date.
More than 100 original pieces of artwork will be created by Ipsum clients of all ages and abilities, forming a colourful and varied exhibition trail throughout the building. The display will initially open on the first floor, with plans for it to grow across all four floors as additional artwork is added during the year.
The exhibition will be open to the public Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm, offering visitors, centre businesses and caféNexus customers the chance to engage with the work and learn more about the charity behind it.
All artwork will be available to purchase through the Ipsum website, with every penny raised going directly towards supporting the charity’s mental health and wellbeing services.
The exhibition will be officially opened on Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 2.00pm by the Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Fay Howard, alongside Julie Mattinson, Director of Ipsum, Kerry Marsh, Project Manager at Ipsum, and Christine Razey, Operations Director at Nexus Business Centre.
Nexus Business Centre says it is looking forward to welcoming clients, partners and members of the public to the launch event, celebrating creativity, community and a shared commitment to supporting mental health across Swindon.
