Highworth Warneford School is inviting parents and prospective pupils to attend its open evening on Thursday, 19th September, between 5pm and 7.30pm.
The event will offer families the chance to meet the school’s newly appointed principal, Sophie Hesten, who took on the role at the start of this academic year.
Highworth Warneford prides itself on being a small school that achieves big results, with a focus on personalised support for each of its 150 pupils per year group. The open evening will showcase the school’s dedication to academic, personal, and social success, all within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Sophie Hesten, formerly Vice Principal at Lydiard Park School in Swindon, is excited to present her vision for the school’s future. “Everyone is very welcome to come along and see what we offer at Warneford and the changes that are being put in place this academic year,” she said. “We are so proud of our ambitious and inspiring curriculum, taught by experienced and dedicated staff in a warm and respectful environment. We are a fantastic choice for parents considering where to send their children to secondary school.”
The open evening will give parents the opportunity to tour the school, meet the teachers, and explore the curriculum that focuses on expert subject knowledge and outdoor learning. Positioned in a beautiful green space with excellent transport links, Highworth Warneford offers a blend of academic rigour and supportive pastoral care that aims to help every pupil achieve their aspirations.
In addition to the open evening, the school will also be holding open mornings on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of October, offering further opportunities for parents to explore the school in action.
For parents seeking a secondary school that combines strong academic values with a focus on the whole child, Highworth Warneford School’s open evening provides the perfect chance to discover all that this well-regarded institution has to offer.
