Miad Healthcare Set for Expansion Following Strategic Acquisition by TTC Group

A Swindon-based finance specialist, Watersheds, has facilitated an acquisition that positions Miad Healthcare for significant growth in the healthcare training sector. Miad Healthcare, a Reading-based company specialising in non-clinical training, was acquired by Telford’s TTC Group, enabling it to broaden its scope and tap into new resources to meet the evolving demands of healthcare.

Miad Healthcare has earned its place as a leader in the UK healthcare training market, providing bespoke training in leadership, governance, and patient safety. With a growing need for structured, non-clinical healthcare education across primary, secondary, and community care, Miad’s approach has ensured that healthcare organisations are equipped to handle increased pressures in this vital sector.

The acquisition by TTC Group, a leading training provider initially focused on driver education, represents a strategic expansion into healthcare for TTC, while offering Miad the operational and technical support required to achieve its next phase of growth.

Libby Ryan, Managing Director of Miad, shared her enthusiasm for the new chapter: “As a small organisation, Miad had reached a natural limit in terms of independent growth. Joining forces with TTC provides the ‘engine’ we needed to propel the business forward, with efficiencies expected in resourcing and process management. We’re thrilled to be taking our team along on this journey and to be working with TTC’s experienced management.”

Ryan also praised Watersheds for their support throughout the acquisition process. “With Watersheds’ attention to detail and dedication, the entire experience was seamless, especially for someone navigating a business sale for the first time.”

John Stopher, Partner at Watersheds, noted the timely nature of the acquisition. “The healthcare sector has seen considerable change, creating new opportunities for Miad to expand its services and support the upskilling of healthcare professionals across the UK. With TTC’s backing, Miad is now well-positioned to maximise these opportunities and play an even more influential role in the healthcare sector.”

The partnership between Miad and TTC marks a promising step for both organisations, blending Miad’s healthcare expertise with TTC’s operational strength. The acquisition, with legal support from Thrings and Hazelwoods, has set Miad on a clear path to meeting the growing training needs in the UK’s healthcare landscape.
