Police have confirmed that a man has died in hospital following a serious collision on the B4040 Malmesbury Road on Monday.
Officers from Wiltshire Police were called at around 4.20pm to a crash involving a Toyota Yaris and a HGV at the junction of the B4040 and an unnamed road for Chelworth.
A 61-year-old man who was a passenger in the Yaris was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has sadly since died. His next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are supporting the family.
The driver of the Yaris, a 60-year-old woman, sustained injuries not believed to be serious.
The driver of the lorry remained at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Appeal for witnesses
Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
