A man has been charged and remanded in custody for drugs offences following a collision in Swindon.
On September 12th, at around 12.30pm, officers responded to a collision between an electric bike and a vehicle in Pembroke Gardens, Swindon.
The rider of the e-bike, Jahred Tafari, 25, of Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, was arrested and charged with possession of a bladed article and possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin.
He appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and has been remanded into custody ahead of his next court appearance.
Police Sergeant Deller of the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West policing team said: “This incident involved excellent collaborative work with the community assisting the police, and I want to thank them for that.
“We always take drugs and weapons offences incredibly seriously and we would always encourage anybody who has information or intelligence on these offences to please report it to us.”
