Residents of Stafford Street in Swindon, with the postcode SN1 3PG, are celebrating today as they clinch a victory on the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Each lucky resident who was signed up to the Postcode Lottery is now £1,000 richer.
The People’s Postcode Lottery operates as a subscription lottery, with the dual aim of raising funds for charities and providing cash prizes to households throughout the UK.
Every day, prizes are unveiled, ranging from hefty £30,000 jackpots to £1,000 rewards for 20 different postcodes. Participants enter the draw automatically by signing up with their postcode and paying a monthly subscription fee of £12.
A significant portion of each ticket’s proceeds, at least 33 per cent, is dedicated to supporting various charitable causes. Since its inception in 2005, players have collectively contributed over £950 million to more than 9,000 charities and good causes.
