People interested in tracing their family’s history can pick up some handy advice at a special workshop next week.
Claire Skinner, an archivist from the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, will give a talk and workshop on Tuesday (30 Jan) at the Central Library in Regent Circus between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
The event is entitled ‘Hidden Treasure’ and will focus on a wide range of local government records, what they can tell people and how they can help researchers of local and family history.
The talk costs £2 for library members and £3 for non-members. For more information call 01793 463238 or email: localstudies@swindon.gov.uk
