Swindon’s streets are set to sparkle once more as Prospect Hospice’s cherished Starlight Walk returns on Saturday 28th June – this time with even deeper meaning. Celebrating an incredible 45 years of care in the community, the much-loved event invites locals to come together for a poignant night of remembrance, celebration, and support.
Beginning and ending at The Deanery Academy, walkers will step out under the stars along either a 10k or 15k route, winding through Swindon’s streets alongside hundreds of others, each walking in honour of loved ones and helping to raise vital funds for the hospice’s work.
A special moment awaits at Town Gardens, where a dedicated remembrance space will offer participants the chance to pause, reflect, and remember those no longer with us – a calm, candlelit interlude amidst the energy of the evening.
Jeremy Lune, Chief Executive of Prospect Hospice, reflected on the milestone event:

Among those donning their walking shoes this year is Kelly Pulham, who is walking in memory of her friend Sandra: “My friend received such thoughtful care from Prospect. Even though her time there was short, the support given to her family and friends meant so much. I’m walking in her memory – and to raise money so others can have that same comfort.”
