Residents in Wroughton and Wichelstowe have just one week left to have their say on the future of the parish through a major Neighbourhood Plan survey.
Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Council is developing a new 10-year Neighbourhood Plan which will set out the community’s vision for the area and help influence future planning decisions.
A survey asking residents for their views has been running since mid-August and closes on Monday 21 September.
The questionnaire covers issues including housing, transport, infrastructure, local services, community facilities, the environment and green spaces.
Cllr Holly Woodward, Chair of the parish council’s Planning & Highways Committee, is urging anyone who has not yet responded to take part.
“With just one week left to go, we’re urging residents in Wroughton and Wichelstowe to get the survey filled in before it’s too late,” she said.
“It’s vitally important that as many voices as possible go into the development of our new Neighbourhood Plan.
“We want our plan to accurately reflect the views of the people who live in our parish, and in order for that to happen we need as many responses as we can get.”
Paper copies of the survey have been delivered to households across the parish.
Completed paper surveys can be returned using drop boxes at:
- Ellendune Community Centre, Barrett Way, Wroughton, SN4 9LW
- Waitrose Shopping Centre, Mill Lane, Wichelstowe, SN1 7BX
An online version is also available for residents who would prefer to complete the questionnaire digitally.
The parish council says completing the survey should take around 10 minutes.
Cllr Woodward added: “So if you haven’t completed the survey yet, please put just 10 minutes aside and help us by filling it in. We value everybody’s views.”
The responses will be collected and analysed before the parish council publishes the results.
The council says consultation with residents will continue as the Neighbourhood Plan is developed, with the findings from the survey helping to shape the document over the coming years.
