In an audacious display of impatience, the driver of this low-loader has found himself in a whirlwind of trouble after attempting to overtake an unmarked police car by flashing his lights, only to discover that he was playing with fire.
The scenario unfolded yesterday as the impulsive driver, seemingly in a hurry, decided to tailgate an unmarked police car on a busy road.
With his patience dwindling and his frustration mounting, he resorted to flashing his headlights in a bid to prompt the unmarked vehicle to shift lanes and allow him to surge ahead. Unbeknown to the driver, his chosen target was none other than a member of the Roads Policing Unit at Wiltshire Police.
This daring maneuver, however, quickly backfired and the driver’s audacity turned into disbelief when the unmarked vehicle signaled him to pull over.
A plethora of issues identified on this one by RPU today. Tailgating and flashing an unmarked car to speed up was not a good start, but as it turns out the least of his worries. Tacho infringements and excess weight resulted in a prohibition and penalties issued to driver. pic.twitter.com/ddtaNI5Z6Y

Upon further inspection, it was discovered that the driver was not only in violation of road etiquette but also in breach of regulations governing commercial vehicles. The driver’s vehicle was found to have tachograph (tacho) infringements, indicating potential breaches of driving and rest time regulations for professional drivers. Additionally, the vehicle was carrying excess weight, raising concerns about road safety and compliance with load limits.
The consequences for the impatient driver were severe. The Roads Policing Unit officers promptly issued a prohibition notice, which effectively suspended the vehicle from further use until the identified issues were rectified. Furthermore, penalties were imposed on the driver, serving as a reminder that flouting road regulations can result in both financial and legal repercussions.
