Have Your Say on How Council Enhances Spring Gardens Open Space in Swindon Town Centre

Calling all residents of Swindon! Swindon Borough Council is eager to hear your thoughts on enhancing the Spring Gardens open space, nestled at the heart of the town centre.

With a dedicated fund in place for improvements and plans to secure additional grant funding, the council is embarking on a journey to improve this communal space into a more vibrant and functional area.

To kick-start this transformation, the council recognises the importance of gaining public insights and they are keen to understand how you currently use the space, if you do, and what changes you want to see to the area?

Your Holiday Starts Now

Suggestions have already been put forward, encompassing the creation of a play area for children, the incorporation of outdoor fitness equipment, and the inclusion of comfortable benches whilst at the same time retaining the green and open character of the park.

The council will be holding two pop-up events held at the site (SN1 2JY) on:

  • Wednesday, 16 August: 3pm to 6.30pm
  • Thursday, 24 August: 10am to 12.30pm

Your presence at these events will enable you to directly share your ideas, express your preferences, and contribute to the comprehensive vision for the open space’s rejuvenation.

For those unable to attend in person, the council has also designed an online survey, designed to gather your thoughts and aspirations.

The survey window will remain open until 6th September, granting you ample time to ensure your voice is heard.
