Have you been diagnosed coeliac in the last 12 months?

If you have bee diagnosed with coeliac disease it may feel a bit daunting at first. Good news, you’re on your way to feeling a lot better and enjoying tasty, healthy food that makes you and your body happy.

A strict gluten free diet is currently the only effective way to manage coeliac disease. All foods containing wheat, rye and barley (including lesser known varieties like tritcale, kamut and spelt) must be eliminated.

It is important to bear in mind that even small quantities of gluten can lead to the lining of the gut becoming inflamed. Consideration should be paid to the ingredients found in all foods, including those that don’t obviously appear to contain any gluten-containing ingredients, such as crisps or chocolate.
